Travis Kelce shares an update on his film debut in Merry Gilmore 2.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, said on the Monday, Jan. 13 episode of the ESPN show The Pat McAfee Show that he has “a few scenes” in the next Adam Sandler comedy and that filming was a “heavy load” of work.
“It was a dream come true. I thought SNL was going to be the pinnacle of my acting, showman or entertainment career. Working with Happy Gilmore itself, Sandman and Happy Productions, it was off the chain,” he added, according to Variety.
Kelce shared that acting alongside Sandler was no different than working with the Chiefs coach Andy Reid.

NetflixAddressing a theory that he might appear in the film, Travis said: “Man, I didn’t even know there was a job offer for Merry Gilmore 2.”
Travis added that he was “a huge Sandman fan” and would jump at the chance to appear in a movie with Sandler, but said that ultimately it was all “a conspiracy theory “.
“I’ll spend more…anything to get around Merry Gilmorean Adam Sandler movie or set – count me in,” he added. “I’ll do anything in the movie. I will be a part of it in every way possible.

A few months later, in August 2024, Sandler confirmed that Travis would make an appearance in the film.
“Travis has… he mentioned it, so we have something nice for Travis,” Sandler, 58, said. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The actor gushed about Travis, adding: “He’s a very nice guy. You would like it in real life. What a tall, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.
