Julianne Hough evacuated his Hollywood Hills home after a fire broke out in the area.
THE Dancing with the stars The host took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday, January 8, to share videos of her experience.
“OK, so, there’s a fire right next to my house,” Hough said in a clip recorded at her home. “We’re with friends, but anyone who’s in the Hollywood Hills, I just had this intuitive feeling that we’re in a bowl of everything that surrounds Hollywood, and now it’s central Hollywood. Everything the world just needs to evacuate. Go, go, go, go, go.
After sharing this post, Hough updated her followers with a second video taken in a car. She was with her dog, Sunny.
“Sunny and I are safe and driving, but the reason I say ‘evacuate now’ even if it’s not near you, if you have somewhere to go, because: there’s traffic . And you’re going to be stuck in traffic. And that’s not good. So everyone please be safe and send prayers to all the first responders and firefighters and come together – you know all you can do is be there for each other .
Meanwhile, large fires continue to spread devastatingly in Los Angeles, affecting many stars and their homes.
An extreme windstorm, driven by gusts from Santa Ana, sparked rapid brush fires around 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, as drivers on Sunset Boulevard and Palisades Drive abandoned their cars to run to safety.
On Wednesday evening, a new wildfire, called the Sunset Fire, broke out in the Hollywood Hills, the famous neighborhood in central Los Angeles where the Hollywood sign is located, according to The New York Times. The city issued an evacuation order for residents in the area, many of whom work in the entertainment industry.
Since the start of the disaster, celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Anna Faris And Billy Crystal lost their homes to fires.
Hilton, 43, shared that she was “heartbroken beyond words” over losing her home.
“Sitting with my family, watching the news and seeing our house in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” she wrote via Instagram Wednesday. “It is in this house that we made so many precious memories.”
