Jennie Garth leans on his ex Pierre Facinelli during difficult times.
Garth, 52, shared on Instagram on Thursday, January 9, that she and her family had taken shelter with Facinelli, 51, after evacuating their Los Angeles home due to the ongoing fires in the area.
“It’s just devastating for everyone. I’m so sad. Deep sadness today. My family and I are safe. Our house survived the night and we feel so blessed and lucky and so lucky,” Garth said in a video to his 1.3 million followers. “I just pray for everyone. We are so lucky that more people were not injured or trapped in the fires.
THE Beverly Hills, 90210 an alumna shared that she and her husband, Dave Abramswere planning to go home and thanked her ex for letting them spend the night. “I think we’re going to go home. It’s a mess but it’s okay. He’s still there,” she said.
Garth continued: “I’m very grateful to Peter for letting us stay at his house – me and all the girls and the dogs and Dave.”
Garth and Facinelli first met in 1995 and were married from 2001 to 2013. They share three adult daughters, Lucas27, Lola22, and Fiona18 years old. Garth married actor Abrams in 2015. Facinelli, meanwhile, is engaged to the actress Lily-Anne Harrisonwith whom he shares his son Jack, 2 years old.
Garth reiterated his gratitude to his ex in the caption of his Instagram post, writing: “I wanted to let you know we are safe. Peter and his family welcomed us and were very kind. I am deeply saddened for our city and just feel numb.
“Our house was spared but there was so much to clean and be ready to be active in helping our neighbors, friends and fellow Angelinos,” the actress continued, adding that her husband “carried all our bags and boxes, loaded and unloaded.
“I’m grateful that we are all okay and have a home to return to,” Garth added.
The wildfires started in Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 7 and continued through Thursday, ravaging the exclusive Pacific Palisades area, Malibu, Santa Monica and the Hollywood Hills. Stars including Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal And Miles Teller lost their homes in the fires.
