Hoda Kotb Signs Deal for Special Interviews and Olympics After Today’s Release

Hoda Kotb is ready to start a new chapter after saying goodbye to NBC Today.

The television personality announced in September 2024 that she was leaving the morning show after nearly 30 years working for the network. “I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 because I started thinking about this decade, like, what does this decade mean? What is he holding? What will this do for me? » she announced in tears on the air. “And I realized it was time for me to move on at 60 and try something new.”

In announcing her departure, Kotb indicated that she would remain with the “NBC family” after her. Today departure, but did not specify the extent of his future with the network. Kotb continued: “What I want to do is live in well-being. I want to work in this space. I want to get things started. I have things seeping inside that I hope will be fully formed soon.

Kotb shared specific details about his next career steps during a Jan. 6 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “I’m starting a wellness app and business that will involve retreats, a podcast and all kinds of things that we can get together and do things that I love,” she revealed. “It’s not like going to Mexico with your daughters, which is fun, but it’s something that when you leave, you’re like, ‘Oh my God, I feel transformed.’ I feel different.’

Although the company is still “under construction,” Kotb said the app is expected to launch in the spring.
