Hoda Kotb may have left Today show, but she proves that her friendship with her former co-hosts is here to stay.
Kotb, 60, shared a photo via Instagram with Jenna Bush Hager43, and Savannah Guthrie53 years old, Wednesday January 22. The trio can be seen smiling at a restaurant in the image.
“I love Wednesdays!! @savannahguthrie @jennabhager. Also remember when you had that big farewell party and now I’m like… HIIIIIIIIIIIII! » Kotb wrote in the caption.
Bush Hager reposted the image on Instagram Stories, writing: “I love these girls. »
Guthrie also shared the image via Instagram Stories. She captioned it: “Reunion.”
This release comes less than two weeks after Kotb’s final episode of the NBC morning show on January 10.
After the star’s exit, Today with Hoda and Jenna relaunched as Today with Jenna and her friends. Bush Hager will host with a rotating selection of celebrity guests until Kotb’s replacement is selected.
“Whoever is in this seat will have the easiest job in the world because they will be sitting next to you,” Kotb said in a September 2024 episode. Hoda and Jenna after announcing his intention to leave the series.
“I mean, the only thing they have to do is not laugh so much that they pee their pants. That’s it. They just have to hang on. You are this shining light, you always have been, and it’s your turn,” she added.
Bush Hager replied: “If I am bright, it is because I sit in your glow. »
As for Kotb, the TV personality won’t be stepping away from the news entirely. In an interview with Page six published on January 9, Kotb revealed that she would serve as a special correspondent for Today and NBC and that she had signed a deal to cover the next two Olympics.
Kotb also shared his plans to create a wellness app and company during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show on January 6.
“(It will involve) retreats and a podcast and all sorts of things that we can get together (and do)… It’s not like going to Mexico with your daughters, which is fun, but something that when you go , you will leave. like, “Oh my God, I feel transformed. I feel different,” Kotba said at the time.
“She’s going to make a lot more than she did on the Today show,” a source exclusively shared in the latest issue of Us every week.
“Now that she’s no longer working full-time at NBC, Hoda will be working with brands and may get paid to support them. She could also earn several hundred thousand dollars giving talks on topics such as ‘changing your life at 60,'” the source added.
