Prince William surprised football fans with round of drinks on first outing since wife Princess Kate Middleton announced that his cancer was in remission.

The Prince of Wales, 42, was pictured sitting at a table at a branch of Wetherspoons, a British pub chain, in Birmingham with Aston Villa football fans before heading to a match between their team and Everton on Wednesday January 15.

The spokesperson also confirmed that the prince had bought a round of drinks for the football fans in attendance.

The royal was waiting for his train home when he stopped at the pub – located inside Birmingham New Street station – according to The Sunthe royal editor, Matt Wilkinson.
