Brianna “Fried Chicken” LaPaglia embraces single life after split from ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan.
While attending the 2025 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 5, the 25-year-old opened up exclusively to Us every week about his state of mind after the breakup. “I’m fine,” she said We. “I feel like myself again.”
When it comes to ending her rocky relationship with the 28-year-old country singer, LaPaglia is in no rush. “Dating feels like a black hole that I don’t want to dive into,” she joked, revealing that she made a bet with her “BFFs” podcast co-host. Josh Richards about his love life. “We made a bet…I’m not allowed to have a boyfriend until the summer.” June 21. (Josh) doesn’t think I can do it. I think I can do it. No boyfriend.
LaPaglia insisted she’s “not looking for anyone” at the moment, but she has an idea of the qualities she would want in a future partner. “Height, hair, cuteness,” she said We.
Bryan announced in October 2024 that he and LaPaglia had called it quits after more than a year of dating. At the time, the Barstool Sports personality claimed she was “blindsided” by him going public with the shared news. After a brief hiatus from social media, LaPaglia shared insight into her relationship with Bryan in an explosive episode of her “BFFs” podcast in November 2024, claiming she had been “emotionally abused” by the musician. (We I contacted Bryan’s team at the time and received no response.)
While talking about her experience, LaPaglia reflected on attending the 2024 Golden Globes in a dress that Bryan would have disapproved of. The dress hugged her figure and featured a dramatic leg slit, which she said didn’t suit Bryan.
“He said he didn’t want to date someone who presented themselves that way,” she said on the podcast. “He ruined my evening. Everything that was good, everything that I did that was good for me, he made sure to ruin everything for me.
LaPaglia attended last year’s awards show with her then-girlfriend Grace O’Malley. On Sunday evening, she walked the red carpet solo in a low-cut dress with a sculptural neckline. (“I wanted to go a little Gladiator“she said We of the inspiration behind her look.)
Returning to the Golden Globes was a landmark moment in LaPaglia’s healing journey. “Last year I was in a bad situation when I was here and now I’m in a good situation and I’m just excited to be here,” she exclaimed. “I’m like, ‘Where’s the champagne?’ Let me have fun. …I’m just excited to be myself again.
