Karen Gillan is officially the mother of a little girl!
THE Guardians of the Galaxy The 37-year-old actress revealed on Instagram on Thursday (January 2) that she had welcomed her first child with her husband. Nicolas Kocher at the end of 2024.
“2024, thank you for giving us Clementine 🍊,” Gillan shared alongside a series of sweet photos revealing baby Clementine for the first time. In one photo, the Scottish-born actress is seen holding her newborn, who is gently resting his head on his mother’s shoulder. Another photo shows Kocher holding Clementine. A third photo shows the new parents holding mugs that read “Best Dad Ever” and “Best Mom Ever.”
Gillan continued in her caption: “Also according to the last slide, I filmed a movie called ‘Let’s Have Kids’ right around the time I got pregnant in real life, so take that. Daniel Day-Lewis.” The final slide of Gillan’s post shows her on the set of the film, sitting at the foot of the bed of someone about to give birth.
The old Doctor Who The star debuted her baby bump last September at the red carpet premiere of her film, Chuck’s lifeat the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The actress wore a yellow bodycon dress and cradled her baby bump as she posed for photos at the Prince of Wales Theater alongside him. Chuck’s life costars Chiwetel Ejiofor And Tom Hiddleston.
Gillan married Kocher in May 2022 when the couple secretly married at Castle Toward in Scotland.
